Just got my bottle today! It does have a good/interesting not really what I would have expected from vodka flavor. Worth picking up!

NO VODKA FOR ME!, But, I didn't see it mentioned earlier in the thread. Is it like fifty bucks? If they can't keep up with demand, it should be like fifty bucks...

One of the recipes from the bartender at 'M' is called a Courtland Cucumber. It involves muddling a cucumber then mixing with simple syrup, lime juice and Oyo. Not practical for a party I was at last night as it was not reasonable for the host, who was customer #2 (I was #3), to hand-mix drinks all night.
I made the simple syrup with cucumber juice, macerated ground cucumber in it o/n and strained it. Pre-mixed with the lime juice, we got mini-cocktails to a whole crowd of people last night. It was really good and perfectly refreshing.

I think this is the premium line & they have a well vodka planned.
Price uniform everywhere, per state regs.
Black market price, however....

I'm having a hard time seeing the point of mixing OYO with anything, as it is perfectly fine on its own.

I made Gimlets mixing just OYO and Odwalla Summertime Lime. Very tasty and super easy. My ratio was 3:1 lime:OYO in the first batch and closer to 2:1 on the second. Great both ways. I think I'll try with a little mint next time also.

Tried the Courtland Cucumber today -- a really impressive recipe, very well-balanced and refreshing. I was surprised at how well the character of the vodka showed through.

Stopped by today to get a bottle, but they were closed. Should've called ahead...anyone seen this in a state store yet?

I asked today at the liquor store at the Brewery District Kroger. They said that they hadn't gotten any yet, but had talked with a marketing rep of some sort about it and planned on getting some in soon.

OYO Violette.
3 oz OYO, 2 tsp creme de violette, shaken with ice and served up.
Really, really works.

The Reverse Vesper seems like A LOT of liquor... I can see why it might be a bad idea. :o)

Well, it is supposed to be "large and very strong and very cold and very well-made."
But the quantities aren't the issue. The odd thing is... it's been mentioned here & elsewhere... this is a very strange vodka to mix drinks with. Doesn't work like vodka, really. More like a young whiskey or a dilute eu de vie. Fun challenge... but it really messes with many recipes in which ordinary vodka should work.

I really like the Moscow Mule they have at Mouton with OYO and Fevertree ginger beer, although I confess I like almost anything with ginger beer.
I'm interested to try an OYO Manhattan.

Bump!
We have a bottle of Honey Vanilla Bean OYO and are looking for recipe ideas for tomorrow evening. ;)
Any thoughts?

I think both the sidecar and the vanilla manhattan sound good.
