Maybe this is just a North End thing, after all that's where most of the shady people live.
Well, that's where the garden / chamber is...

I just saw a one- or two-sentence notice from Channel 10's Website that three armed men robbed the S & K today. Wanted to click on the link, but cannot do that here at work. Anyone have any information? Was it related to the bath salt arrest(s)?
It doesn't seem to be related to the arrests. Armed robbery at S&K
From the webpage:
COLUMBUS -- Police are investigating an armed robbery at a store that was recently the subject of a drug raid.
Investigators say three men stole money from the cash register and ATM at the S&K Market on E. 5th St. Monday morning. One of the men is believed to have pointed a gun at a clerk.
Police say the men were dressed in dark clothing and fled in a dark car. The store's surveillance camera was not functioning at the time of the robbery.
The S&K Market was previously robbed in June, and was raided by authorities in July as part of an investigation into the possible sale of bath salts and other illegal drugs.

Scuttlebutt is that it was an inside job. Hoping crap like this gets pushed out of the area.
Haven't heard them called "spice" in quite a long time. It was all "bath salts"
spice trafficking? Do they mean..... they're back? no!!!!!!!!!
Deputies served a warrant at S&K Market, located near the intersection of East 5th Avenue and Summit Street around 5 p.m. Monday.
Investigators said that the raid was related to an ongoing investigation regarding illegal bath salts.

Looks like they are on the road to losing their liquor license. Hopefully this motivates them to sell while they can. I drive past this heading to downtown from WP all the time. I like to imagine that someday this corner will be a gateway to IV. The taxi stand, market and car lot make for easy development.
It was a few charges but shit just got real for Mr. Smith RICO is no joke he's looking at years.
COLUMBUS, Ohio --
Additional indictments have been issued in the first three cases involving the trafficking of bath salts in Franklin County.According to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, Thomas C. Smith, 57, was indicted on ten additional charges for one of the variations of bath salts found during two searches that occurred on May 2 and July 25.
Counts in the indictment include aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs. Counts in the indictment also included RICO
Sounds like they were working together...
Scary as hell.
Man, you just can't believe how much nicer that area has become after the closing of S&K and the shit-mart at 3rd & Summit. There used to be a virtual highway of alley trolls that marched between those, and that faction is now gone (for the most part).

This video is a pretty good depiction what we saw last summer in IV.

Its a start, but I don't think it is over. I yelled at some tweekers looking in car windows parked on Mt. Pleasant Ave the other day. I think there are still sources available in that area.
