Has anyone else seen the musical "Once?" It's still playing a 5:25 p.m. show at the Drexel Gateway. My wife and I saw it yesterday with some friends - it came highly recommended from another friend of ours (who's seen it twice already).
I really loved it. Very simple and even a bit rough, like a work in progress, but with some beautiful songs by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Reminded of the Before Sunrise and Before Sunset films, except with music. I was in tears at the end, and went home and bought the soundtrack right away.
If you get a chance, I suggest catching it. It's only 88 minutes long, and a very pleasant way to spend an evening. It works very well as a movie (an amazing 97% on RottenTomatoes) and as a musical piece.
I'm curious to know what others think of it.
