Old 3C announces four new releases. That's right, we currently have one new release from The Beatdowns, two new releases from Househearts, and a release by The Mealworms to tell you about.
Two of these, The Beatdowns "Disconnected Girl" b/w "Away from the Crowd" two-song single, and Househearts "Comfest 83" eight-song live-set, are available as free digital-download releases hosted by Columbus' PatRadio -- so feel free to make them both your own. We'll only be happy if we know that you're happily listening to these two great bands.
And let's not forget about the Househearts "Counting Fifty Problems + Extras" twenty-song release -- which compiles the seven tracks from their long out-of-print 1985 12" vinyl EP, along with ten live cuts and three early demos. Househearts represent a missing-link in the early Columbus underground chain that anyone who knows their Naked Skinnies from their Razor Penquins will want to hear for themselves. Available now as CD-on-demand, and October 6 in the digital-download world.
Finally, The Mealworms "Radio Cabinet Rabbit Hutch" release will one-day be available on limited edition vinyl, with digital-download and CD-on-demand versions appearing very soon. The Mealworms are led by one Kyle Siegrist, who is, of course, owner of local record store institution Lost Weekend, where a certain Yo La Tengo video featuring Times New Viking was recently shot.
