W H A T ' S - G O I N G - A H N - ( A U T U M N - 2 0 1 0 )
Big doings -- a real, live music event -- Beetkeepers, Scrawl, The Black Swans, and Planktones perform on Saturday 04 December 2010, Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit Street, Columbus Ohio (get directions here). Yes, you read that right -- Columbus' own (and Old 3C artists) Beetkeepers announce a reunion show with old friends Scrawl, who are also reforming for the event. They will be joined by current Columbus mainstays The Black Swans and Planktones -- the former featuring the songs of Jerry DiCicca, and the latter showcasing a selection of obscure 70s covers selected by the Wyatt brothers of Great Plains. Shows like this don't come around too often, so we'll be sure to see you there.
Old 3C announces two more new releases. That's right, the new stuff keeps coming, and here are two we know you're going to enjoy.

| 3C 40 | The Malefactors of Great Wealth, Today Is the Best Day of My Life CDR | 6 songs | not yet available -- coming soon |
This is a new project from James (J.P.) Olsen of Beetkeepers, Burn Barrel, and Great State of Ohio fame. He has a host of NYC-area indie-rock luminaries helping him out on these six tracks, and they bring out the best of his intelligent, melodic songs. Not to worry, we will provide more details on this release as they become available. Listen to a song here.
| 3C 39 | Randall Douglas Matson, Motorhome Boogie CDR
| 15 songs | $12 us (mail order) | $8 us (digital) |
Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Randall Douglas Matson is a Columbus-native who's written a novel and performed as a professional opera singer. Luckily for us, he's also taken the time to record his songs, which in this collection bring to mind legends such as Tim Buckley, Roy Orbison, and Richard Thompson. Old school folk, jazz and rock'n'roll combine in a potent, understated mix that warrants repeated listening. Listen to a song here.
