Greeting Friends of Old 3C Records:
Old 3C announces two new releases -- "Stark Folk" by Yellow Springs, Ohio and Los Angeles based duo Stark Folk (issued on limited-edition vinyl, as well as on-demand CD and digital downloads), and "Live at WFMU" by Great Plains, recorded at the legendary freeform radio station in Jersey City during their April 2008 east coast dates with former Homestead label-mates Big Dipper.
These releases represent two "firsts" for Old 3C. The Stark Folk release is the first Old 3C release to appear on vinyl, and this Great Plains release is our first free-download made available via the awesome PatRadio site. We hope you'll enjoy them both -- and as always, feel free to get in touch, as we love hearing from you.

After a series of recordings under the name A Landscape Yesterday, longtime collaborators Brady Burkett and Ryan Shaffer head off in a more roots-oriented direction -- think early Palace Brothers meets current-day Moviola. This release also marks Old 3Cs first limited-edition vinyl issue, so you collector-types might want to jump on this quickly. Did we mention how good it is? Well, we should have.

Great Plains recently reunited to play a series of shows in Hoboken, Brooklyn, and Boston with former Homestead label-mates Big Dipper. They also stopped in to visit with Terre T at legendary freeform station WFMU in Jersey City, where they recorded this live in the studio set, complete with an interview with the band. Many thanks to PatRadio for making it available for free to all. The download includes cover-art for your iTunes playlist, along with CD-face, tray-card and jewel-case artwork.
