Kids, I know it's been said...but I'm going to say it again. Sage is sooooo good!
I've been in NY for a hair show recently and had some really, really nice meals there. I went to some of the big-name restaurants and had a lovely time. (The bills from each restaurant added up to that of a new Chevy, unfortunately. ouch!)
The one thing I kept thinking about while I was there was that those chefs have such a boner for themselves that the experience wasn't real-- too stuffy and over-worked. It was good, mind you, but way too hoity-toity.
Chef Glover at Sage is every bit as good a chef as those guys--and his food is just a beautiful and tasty--if not more, because i'm not eating around an ego on a plate.
I had dinner last night at Sage and I am confident that that restaurant is probably the best one I've ever been to. ever. Great drinks, wine list, and oh, the food!
If you haven't been in, you MUST! It'll change your outlook on life.
