The New Administration of a Fine Arts Education: Jon Rubin
Date:Thursday, October 14
Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: CCAD Design Studios on Broad, 390 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio
Join us for the evening as Jon Rubin, Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, discusses his project Waffle Shop, a restaurant that is also a live-screening talk show, along with Conflict Kitchen; a take-out restaurant that only serves cuisine from countries that the United States is in conflict with.
Rubin's practice dissolves the lines between teaching and artistic practices, through exploring "social dynamics of public places and the idiosyncrasies of individual and group behavior."
This event is a part of The New Administration of a Fine Arts Education. The New Administration of a Fine Arts Education is a series of four public conversations featuring leading individuals in contemporary art, culture, and education who combine artistic and pedagogic practices.
