Holy non-issue, Batman! C'mon, this comment was too informal at worst, but condescending and sexist? O'Reilly had a segment about this last night, and basically seemed amused that it was generating any news at all (apparently he is unfamilar with irony).
What I found more disturbing, was that, later in the show, he introduced 2 female guests via satellite from Columbus who said they were angry about sexist elements in the media, Democratic party and Obama campaign, who have robbed Clinton of the nomination. They then threatened to leave the party and actively campaign against Obama, if (when) he wins the nomination. They stopped just short of admitting they will vote for McCain, though they conceded the possibility.
One was from PA, but the other, Cynthia Ruccia lives in Bexley. They claim to speak for thousands of female Democrats in PA, MI, OH (and another crucial swing state which escapes my mind). Cynthia Ruccia, former member of the Franklin Co. Democratic Party Executive Committee, is better known for running against Kasich in '96, and all but openly accusing him of being gay. Earlier, in the primary, she tried everything to get Bill Moss to drop out, and threatened Columbus Alive with a libel suit for a Bob Fitrakis piece which suggested Moss' presence was hurting her campaign. Wow. Gay-baiter, 1st Amendment enemy, and now she cries 'sexism' when her candidate loses fairly. She should be shown the door.
She even made the Australian press:
Hillary Clinton's female avengers to hit Barack Obama
Sorry for sidetracking your thread Core, but this seems like the front edge of a major sh*tstorm for the Dems.
