The Wheelhouse? I was hoping for Club 475, 475 Bar, Rootop at 475, or just simply 475.

I always thought Flytown Tavern or pub would be a great bar name for the area. Kind of like what O'Shaughnessy did with there name, playing on the history of the area.

Might as well call it Roachville Pub.

Has anyone heard a reopening date yet?

I haven’t seen anybody going in or out. And I’m a bit too territorial when it comes to that loading zone.

Has anybody heard anything on this? I figured they'd at least have the old Novak's sign down by now...and maybe an update message in the window.

I was at Yogi's yesterday for wings and asked the bartender. She really didn't know much other than that it is now a mid-august opening.

At what point do we consider it dead and open for squatters? Bring our own beer and enjoy the patio once again

I've heard rumors that they are having problems getting the permits to put in the kitchen. Personally I don't know how they didn't see this coming. There is zero room for a kitchen. It's debatable whether they will re-open it but now I'm hearing if they do it won't be until March. I have no concrete way to confirm the accuracy of this - it's only hearsay from people who claim to be close to the owners. If anybody has some reliable information I'd love to hear it.

Novak's used to order a bunch of pizza for everyone.. that was fine by me.

There were many a nights of grabbing some sauerkraut balls from Barley's to go and meeting some friends at Novak's for a nightcap. How did the people that bought the place not know there wasn't room for a kitchen?

Turns out that the new owners are in a holding pattern, however, permits (including kitchen) were approved quite a while ago. I believe someone mentioned earlier in this thread that the owners also own Yogi's in Dublin - which I believe is true. Apparently they just opened a 2nd Yogi's location, and once that is up and running for a bit, they will then re-focus on completing the Novak's project.
That's just the word on the street...

Anything new on Novaks? I'm hoping it will at the very least be ready for Spring '13...
