:)
Well, a bit confusing to discuss this year's event in a thread that has info about last year's event.
Anyway, Anne & I will be there volunteering on Sunday and I'll be pouring on Friday night. Always a fun time! :D
If you want a more "experiential" Food & Ohio Wine Festival adventure we could use some more volunteers on Saturday (1:45-5 and 3:45-7) and Sunday (12:45-4). Drop me a line if you are willing & able mmartineau@northmarket.com
As further incentive we do let you drink while you labor.

We'll be there too, Saturday 11am-noon, doing a cooking demo and a brief chat about Slow Food. Spent last night tasting variations of the recipe that Colleen and Hungrywoolf were honing, and I think it'd be worth your while to stop by.
We are pretty excited about being a part of the festival again this year! Stop by and say "Hi" at the Wyandotte Winery booth!

I'll be selling my handmade jewelry there on Sunday! I have tons of new Tiny Treats items.
The Slushie pendants have been a bit hit for sure!
Colleen and Hungrywoolf hold the distinction of being the only two people ever to have given a demo using the Ohio Proud Kitchen at the North Market.
Explanations for this fact vary. Some say that the food they made was so good that allowing others to use the kitchen would dishonor it. Others, being far less charitable, point out that the electronically sophisticated Ohio Proud Kitchen leaks like a sieve when it rains.
Regardless of the reason -- the food was hellishly awesome: Swiss chard and goat cheese frittata, roasted cauliflower, and roasted beets with cumin and mint. Recipes are linked from the entry on the Events page.
I enjoyed it today, the rain thinned the crowd a little and allowed a bit more conversation with the winemakers.
Colleen and Bethia did a great food demo while Bear beat-boxed for entertainment. Good times.
The wife and I went on Friday night. It was jam packed. I hope next year they realize this and do something to either lengthen the area, or widen the space. If it would have been hotter, it would have been unbearable. The music was good, there was some good wine (and some not so good, but that's just my lack of taste probably)
