I noticed that today too. Looks like they're doubling the size of the building by filling in that giant concrete area. Looks like the video is still open for now. Perhaps they're expanding, or just adding more space for other tenants?

How do customers get in the video shop with a construction site taking up the entrance way.

Google NCV and get their phone number. Call and they'll tell you what's going on. I just did. I'd tell you what they said but it would only encourage the laziness.

There's a back door.

Get your hair cut at Mug N Brush and Jim can fill you in on the block happenings as well.
I caught bits and pieces last week but it escapes my mind at the moment.

Abby told me they are expanding the front of the building to the sidewalk. Furthermore, there is a restaurant going in owned by someone related to Eric Clapton. This is all a la Miss Nelson.

I talked to someone that works at NCV and it was said that the store is expanding to the sidwalk, but will get skinnier. the restaurant idea fell through so now there is talk of the liquor store that is down by Ravari Room might move in next to North Campus V.

So Eric Clapton is working at Washington Bluffs liquor store?

What the hell is Washington Bluffs? Is this some superfluous name for a part of north campus?

Washington Bluffs is the neighborhood between Lane Ave, High St, Olentangy River, and North St. Its the bluffs to the river west of Washington Beach.

What does FTFY mean?

Ehh, I heard today the owner plans to close North Campus to instead focus on Video Central and that Blockbuster and Papa John's are both moving into that location. I really, really, really hope that's not true.

Sounds like major BS to me. Yeah, what does FTFY mean? And where is Washington Beach? I found this, actually:

Who is behind these nonsense names? It's called NORTH CAMPUS! Is this gentrified lingo or is the hipster community behind it? What a bunch of nonsense. Nothing adds panache to a neighborhood like some tacked on name...especially one with beach or bluffs where there are none! I'm going to start a grassroots initiative to smash these stupid names from the Columbus lexicon! Arrrgh!!!!

We do have bluffs so maybe I can see that, but "washington beach"? I'm with dutchrub on this one. come on now that's just silly. It's North Campus.

North Campus is a greater region that incorporates Washington Beach, Washington Bluffs, Awesome Town, So-Hud, Iuka City and Glen Echo.

It is not BS. People who live there come up with names and sometimes placed by outsiders, all places get there names by someone naming it.
Your logic is invalid, that is saying that your screen name Dutch Rub is BS.
There have been songs written about Washington Beach: Washington Beach Party by Columbus' Own Magic City.
There is a drink at Tip Top called a Washington Beach Party

Sometimes I think people just pull names out of there ass and name the block that. Where do they come up with this and all of them
someone fill me in? There are so many is it necessary?

Ok...I'll concede that there are bluffs in the area. These really sound more like nicknames, though. If a place has a name then it's on a map somewhere. Show me a map if you want to convince me. These really sound like vain attempts to make north campus sound cosmopolitan. This is a perfect example of how some Columbusites get too big for their britches.
Your comment about logic makes no sense. My handle is a pseudonym, so of course it's BS.
