I am going to this and also the meet and greet afterwards. The wife and I are big fans and have read all his books and been to his restaraunt, Les Halles in New York.

His show is on the same day as the Michigan game. I'm hoping he saunters (he has to be a saunter-er) into my restaurant so I can flirt with him on Friday night. HOT!!! Has anyone read "Kitchen Confidential"? That's when I began my love affair with him.If he saunters in, I'm going to need you to to light up a batsignal of some sort to alert me. I'm guessing I'd pass out if I walked in there and saw him sitting at the bar.
Swoon.Twitter = Bat Signal
Also, I would be down for said establishment either way. Will be nice to get away from the neighborhood hysteria post-BIG GAME.

I heard a rumor that Bourdain is filming at a well respected local restaurant on Saturday before the live show. I don't know if that means a whole Columbus episode (though I doubt it) or if it's just a one time deal he's cutting into another show. Maybe an episode about his lecture tour?Fun! Do you have any ideas where? My guess would be one of Liz Lessner's spots. I can see him totally digging any of them!
i'm going to go with rigsby's. after all, its bar has come of age recently...

I'm glad this thread is still alive, I have some more Anthony Bourdain tips.
It is a central tenet of Anthony Bourdain's show that he has to eat whatever is placed before him, so if he arrives to do some filming at your restaurant, that would be a good time to clear out the leftovers.
One time my friend saw him filming and got him to eat a stick, a beetle, and half of a soda can before he was chased away with a brick that Anthony Bourdain found in a dumpster in Malaysia.
If you see him at the book signing (sometimes he does book signings while hidden in a cardboard box with a book-flap cut into it) do not call him just "Anthony" or "Mr. Bourdain;" his full name must be recited every time. This is why his show is called "Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain" instead of just "No Reservations" or the even shorter "No." (Which I suggested.)
Okay another tip for restaurateurs: If you want to get on his good side you should tell him you'll be serving "ants on a log," and then when it turns out to just be peanut butter and celery and raisins he'll be delighted and relieved. "Oy mate," he'll say, "this is a brilliant deconstruction of vegan pad thai."
I saw half an episode of his TV show once, and he spent the entire thing squatting. Fifteen minutes of him hunkered down on the roads of Peshawar, eating rice and beans from a filthy tin can, waddling down the street with his hands in his jacket pockets trying to look cool. He sort of looked like a duck--maybe it was a pun? I just can't figure out why he was doing it.
My friend thinks it's in case the room he's in fills with smoke, in which case I would say "good thinking Anthony Bourdain!" Hans Christian Andersen always carried a rope with him to escape from housefires, it is a lot more dangerous than many people think.

In time for Thanksgiving, Bourdain on cooking turkeys.
A sample: "Dismembering a turkey is much like dismembering a human actually, you just find the little space between the bones."

Is anyone else going to the book signing afterward?

Would anyone like to share a brief review of Mr. Bourdain? I'm curious to hear what he discussed.

It was mix of him making fun of the Food Network and the state of food in our country, discussing his travels and experiences and then some Q&A. I enjoyed most of the night but the Q&A was pretty bad. Not too many intelligent questions, not that I can talk because I didn't ask anything. The Q&A highlight was a corn farmer trying to peddle the corn syrup is good for you line and getting smacked down by the audience.

The episode of No Reservations tonight at 10pm will feature him dining at Kihachi. Be sure to tune in, and then go eat at Kihachi. Chef Mike and team are really good.
