I saw the trailer a while ago, and it looks really interesting. I started following the guy's blog and just ordered the book with the same name. It has a very limited release, so most (if not all) of us probably won't be able to see it until it's released on DVD.

Looks interesting. It usually takes people to go to such extremes to make us question some of our daily routines, and perhaps consider changing a few of them if we can. I'm just happy when the extremists aren't total assholes, and this guy/family/movie looks like it could actually be fun to watch/read/follow.

I thought this was perhaps more worthy reading:
The Times called it, at best, “a scene from an old-fashioned situation comedy and, at worst, an ethically murky exercise in self-promotion.†(The headline was “THE YEAR WITHOUT TOILET PAPER.â€Â)
In his book, Beavan reports that he was “devastated†by this treatment. “I feel that it has trivialized my work,†he writes of the Times piece. “It worries me that I’ve single-handedly managed to make a mockery of the entire environmental movement.â€Â

Last week, Elizabeth Kolbert, a respected New Yorker journalist who writes admirably about issues to do with our climate catastrophe and the environment, wrote a scathing attack on my book, No Impact Man.
