Bob Cramer, Columbus City Food Health Director, stated they do not currently have anyone assigned to the Brewery District and have had to assign another individual to do the inspection sometime next week.
It is not the owner/manager's fault as to why Gobbler's has not opened yet.
Rest assured, they will be opening in the coming weeks once the inspection has been completed.
Thanks for your inquiries.
If you're interested in reading more information about Gobblers, check out the article that was just ran in last weeks This Week Community Newspaper.

really?
wait... what?
so... the other places that serve food down there are up until now uninspected?
I fear I have misread this or something 'cause it makes no sense to me.

Thanks for the update. I saw that nothing has been done when I walked by friday. Hopefully they can speed things up after the inspection.
Great News!!! Gobblers passed inspection today and will be opening by weeks end or Monday, April 12.
Thanks for your patience. We hope you stop in and give us a try!

Thanks for the good news. Il be there! I hope they stay open on the weekend. Not enough places around here are open on weekends or past 6pm :(
I'll be by. Best of luck
BTW, how did you pick the name?
Do you have a website, or a menu posted somewhere?

The name was created by owner from the thought that he's serving turkey which is original and unique for the food industry, and turkeys "gobble" -- hence the name Gobblers Original Turkeys

We are currently working on the website and should have it up and working by the end of April. In meantime, check out and join our business group on facebook under Gobblers Original Turkeys.

Let me clarify:
Due to cutbacks within the City, they were revamping their procedures and did not have staff available to do our inspection. It had nothing to do with businesses already in existence.
Revamped MENU and prices can now be viewed @ http://gobblersturkeys.wordpress.com/
Take a look!
Other news -- BW3 Chicken in the Brewery District is now CLOSED! Check out GOBBLERS instead.
That stinks BW3s shut down :( even tho I didnt go often.
Thanks for posting the menu! I like the hours too! :) Looked over the menu and it looks good. Im suprised you have pizza and other items, but I will deffintly try them. Cant wait to try EVERYTHING. haha
I love fried turkey and that will be the first item I get. mmmmm
I was gonna go here for lunch today, but the door was locked at like 11:30. Did the opening get delayed?
I'm not too torn up about BW3s, they were incredibly slow, with either counter service or at a table.
I did try to call first, but the number on their website (754-7118) seems to be disconnected.
I stopped by around 12:00 and the doors were locked. It was dark inside and it looks like nothing has been done since quiznos moved out... I dont like how this place is moving. Dosent seem like the owners know what they are doing. Im gona stay away from this place for awhile now... From the earlier postings here it seems like the owner is a scum bag anyways.
I ended up going to chipotle and it was pretty good :)
Still not open. According to a woman inside, they will now be open early next week.
Looking forward to trying this!
..also kinda glad Bw3s shut down, worst one in the city, terribly slow staff, they just didnt care! Turkey legs sounds ten times better!
Man...Gobblers finally opened yesterday and was bomb-barred with folks waiting to taste the food and I have to admit it was well worth the wait.
I talked with the owner and asked what took so long? He said he wanted to make sure when the doors opened, they were professional in their appearance and didn't want to be misjudged if they had opened and weren't completely prepared.
In reading some of the other post, I wouldn't count them out but if you do, then you'll miss out.
