I've seen a sign for "City Pharmacy" (I think) in an empty storefront near High and 5th Avenue. Does anyone know anything about it?
Is this a chain new to the area? I've always wondered why there are so few independently owned pharmacies. All I ever see is CVS, Walgreens, Drug Mart.

there is a city pharmacy on Main near 71.
there WAS a city pharmacy at State an High in the 5/3 building a few years back, but it closed.

I'm glad they relocated (if they did close the other location), but residents in my old hood will have to make a trek to CVS on High now rather than walk down the street. In the old spot I'd really like to see an after five destination. Lots of CCAD students in the area who might want something right there within easy walking distance.

Nice! Our little corner of the Short North is really hopping these days. We can now boast Rivet, Surly Girl, What the Rock?!, Travonna Coffee, Skully's, Magnolia, Circus/Clever Crow. North Short North (NoShoNo?) is where it's at! Now if we can just do something about that motherfuckin' empty lot at 5th and High. Sigh...

Maybe they'll expand and take over that lot.
Cool businesses in the NoShoNo, fo sho. I always liked the looks of City Pharmacy in the Market District. Sad to see them leave there, but wish them success at the new location.

I'd like to see a food truck food court in that lot. Someone had mentioned it on here before, and I cannot stop thinking about what a great idea this is to "develop" a space without sinking a ton of money into it. plus taco trucks + locally sourced and distilled vodka = party time.
