YouTubeHey I have a new mixtape and I'd like to put it on the web since I've had a few requests, but I have no idea how. Are there any websites that I could host it from that would allow people to download it?

I'm not sure what the cap on time is, but you can host music several place like dj.net , hip hop.org , and myspace. I know that you can only put short tracks on myspace not the whole thing. I f you have access to a server just get the music on the server and link it to a player you can embedd anywhere you want on the web. Hope that helps!!!

you send it, works great....
limited to a 7 day period for the file to be downloaded......after that they erase it, and the link is no good...the best way to do it brandon, is actually upload the track to you send it.com, and send it to yourself....then copy and paste the link in here from your email when its uploaded.....
but i think its 7 days, and can be downloaded 100 times......they also have a 100 mb size limit, so depending on how long it is, you may have to render it as a 128 mb mp3 for the whole mix.....a one hour mix at 128 should be waaay under the limit no problem. They also give you great download bandwidth when you dl it...i can get 300-450k a sec most of the time. some of the other sites for files storage limit speed to like 40k, which SUCKS, and takes forever.
nino and i use it all the time for our label, for sending tracks/remixes/ and parts back and forth between our artists......i think its actually the "industry standard" for music....unless you host your own ftp and give your own links...
