The Short North Tavern used to be my hang out of choice when I lived down in the Short North. And while I enjoyed their free wings and pizza for Friday happy hour, I never was a big fan of their food, nor would I consider it a big draw.
Recently, however, that's starting to change. They've made a conscious effort to up their menu and have recently hired a new chef. While the menu offerings seem to be pretty standard bar fare, the quality of the food has improved noticeably. We ordered a cheeseburger, a veggie plate and chili cheese fries, and all were very good. I had the chili cheese fries; the chili had a unique taste which suggested the secret ingredient might be worcestershire sauce, which wasn't a bad thing.
Anyone else eat there since the new menu was introduced? Thoughts, impressions?
