wasn’t that the smoking section? (not a joke, honest question)
You may be right. How times have changedSeptember 15, 2011 4:06 pm at 4:06 pm #448440
Even though they were bought out, the corporate hq never left Dublin.
The full HQ never moved, but a lot of the executive jobs did. Those are coming back:September 15, 2011 4:41 pm at 4:41 pm #448441
Remember when a lot of Wendy’s were built with the front seating area lowered two steps into the ground?
Yeah, those were the good old days. ;)
Yup, they did that, too, to “update”, as did Rax, both touting their salad bars. Ah, well, I still think themes are kind of fun.September 15, 2011 6:09 pm at 6:09 pm #448442
^ The Superbar. I always like trying to figure out where the Superbar was when I’m in an older Wendy’s.September 19, 2011 1:50 pm at 1:50 pm #448443
Full details of “Project Gold Hamburger:”
Dave’s Hot ‘N Juicy, named after late Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas. The burger — with extra cheese, a thicker beef patty, a buttered bun, and hold the mustard, among other changes — will be served in restaurants starting Monday.September 19, 2011 1:59 pm at 1:59 pm #448444

Saw the new Wendy’s logo on their West Broad location yesterday; placing of type seems a bit ill-fitting and toward the bottom.September 4, 2012 12:52 pm at 12:52 pm #448447
Along with new look for Wendy.
Sadly, she seems not to be a true redhead.

Not liking the type on the new logo at all. The original logo is classic and didn’t need updated or “hippified.”September 4, 2012 1:11 pm at 1:11 pm #448450
I guess it’s not Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers anymoreSeptember 4, 2012 1:41 pm at 1:41 pm #448451
It’s so bad it looks like bad photoshop. Is that font Comic Sans, italic?
But it’s not just the font… the scale & spacing of the script on the sign is completely wack.September 4, 2012 2:23 pm at 2:23 pm #448452
The Wendy’s girl in the logo looks updated. I’m not bothered by that. But I am wondering the thought process behind the logo because there seems to be 2 ad campaigns going on, one with old, original Wendy talking about her dad and what he created, and young, hip Wendy introducing new menu items with her hip friends. Surely they could have tried updating the classic to embody body both ideas rather then scraping the whole thing?
