Obama just signed a new law that includes a cig tax increase of 62 cents per pack.
Cartons just went up by $6.20.
What's the NYC carton price gonna' be now? Close to $90?
This'll push the Utah price to over $40 per carton, right when this state is considering a new $2.30 a pack cig tax.
I wonder what the fast food and soda junkies would have to pay for their fix if the price of their habit factored in the true cost of the increased burden they place on healthcare?

The exact impact of diet is too difficult to quantify at this time. Burned tobacco however, is much easier. There's probably a good 20-30 year lag in the data. Give it time.
