Facebook just converted everyone (or at least me, and I didn't sign up to go early) to their new layout. I like what they've done with the Profile tab (with the Wall); not so much the main page, especially since I'm not immediately seeing the bar that lets you enter your status.

I hate how on the homepage, the applications my friends use (which I hate) are mixed in with the links, photos and videos they post (which I like) over in the righthand column, and comments are hidden.

I just figured that out too.

Hate it. But I'm old and crotchety.

not a fan.

it just seems like they're chasing Twitter…but maybe I'm being short-sighted.

I detest Twitter. Does that mean I have to either get with it or get rid of my FB account? It's the only way I know what's going on anymore.

I'm underwhelmed. The whole right side of the screen is nothing but clutter.

I'd just like to say that rounded edges on pictures makes me want to stab someone back to when it was cool (like 96).

I was going to try not to complain, and give it some time to grown on me. But I have to admit, I'm having a time figuring out what information can be found where. As much as it was criticized initially, I came to really appreciate the news feed. Now, it seems like the main feed is much more focused on status updates (a la twitter as others have noted), so I sort of missed the other minutia that was included in the previous version of the feed.

As far as Twitter goes, I feel like the layout may be similar to the new FB, but the functionality feels much different as you're getting a live feed from all types of updates and not just 140-char status updates. Photos, Videos, Links, Comments all in one big stream.

Now I officially hate it. Apparently some chick I went to high school with that friended me, even though I don't know her at all, sent Easter Peeps to like 200 people...each one with a special announcement. Now my entire front page looks like this:

NAME WITHHELD TO PROTECT THE GUILTY placed a Marshmallow Peep on NAME WITHHELD TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT's profile..
Repeated over and over...it is literally all I see.

You can click on the right side of all that crap and "hide" her. It's still a pain in the ass, though.

Yep. One click of the "X" by her name will hide all of that.

Fastest growing demographic on Facebook. Women age 50-65
My wife put mine up so we could keep in touch with friends from school and our old town.
Within weeks I had old girlfriends stalking me.
I have friend requests from people I don't know and the realtor I befriended is contacting all my friends trying to drum up business.Posted 3 years ago # -
Why can't facebook just go back to being a place to post drunken party shenanigans; for your friends to post pictures of you with midget strippers in Mexico; for your parents to shockingly find out about something; for you to randomly stalk someone from class...

Alright everyone... BACK to myspace!

Funniest status I've seen about the new FB:
Facebook wants to know "What's on your mind?" Will guys all over the world continuously type "sex" every seven seconds

I'm not a fan of the new changes, either. In terms of how user-friendly it is, it's just like anything else, though.
There are typically 2 troubleshooting options that cover 90% of the problems:
1. reboot
2. keep looking at the thing! are you looking at the thing? In this case, I think we all agree that we don't like the way it looks, though.
