The Nintendo DS is still the reigning portable, with several new games that have come out recently. For Role Playing and Strategy fans, I have seen Avalon Code, Valkyrie Profile: Plume, Fire Emblem and the one I am playing, Suikoden Tierkreis. Also last month was Dragon Quest V and Blue Dragon Plus. There's also a portable Grand Theft Auto-Chinatown and Professor Layton and others I can't remember.

I have to say as I've gotten older and have less time the DS is about all that I play now if I play at all.
Pretty excited about DQV and Fire Emblem, nice to be able to play games I always wanted to that were never released here in spiffier versions.
Bah these RPGs are gonna kill what remains of my scant social life as it is :)Posted 3 years ago # -
I could probably use a new DS game. I'm with ZHC... it's about all I have time for anymore. 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there. Great relaxing time killer when waiting for a bus. ;)

I was pretty excited about the new 3D Picross before I remembered I don't have a DS.

Well, if you get one, remember the new one is coming out in a couple weeks. It will no longer have a slot for Gameboy Advance games to make room for its new features like camera, memory slot, bigger screen, etc.

I'm happy they are putting some classics on the DS like Chrono Trigger and Disgaea. The DS is all about portability of your gamer life ~haha~

Anyone Get a Chance to play Rhythm Heaven?

I played Shawn Sines' pre-release copy for about 30 seconds during the Guitar Hero contest at COSI a few weeks ago. And then I realized it was way too loud in there to even attempt to play a music-based game. ;)
Looks fun from the trailers though.
I need to pick up a DSi.
