On my way in to work today I noticed signs for a new deli going in on the corner of State and 4th. I've seen people in there from time to time working, but it never seemed like anything much was getting done. Looked a lot the same, a lot of the time.
Today was different though, there are now signs in window for a deli. I forget the name specifically, but it was Columbus Town Deli and Market, or something to that effect. They list a website of http://www.columbustowndeli.com but right now there's nothing on the page.
The signs double as job postings, but it's a bit odd. They want you to develop a sandwich as your job application it seems. I didn't really get a good look at it, as both on my way in to work and my way home I was more interested in my final destination than what the sign said. They did have some language about becoming the premier downtown eatery or something along those lines. (my words, not their's. I don't think. But the sentiment is the same).
There definitely seems to be some solid ambition behind whoever is opening the place, so I'll be curious as to whether there will be the follow through. After all, everyone who opens a new place has ambition. Or at least they should.
