Some highlights:
The Hilltop Connector, bridging the river and tying the Westside into the Scioto and Olentangy trail systems.
A 2 mile section of the Alum Creek Trail between Innis Park and Sunbury Road.

This is a great list of projects. The portion of the Scioto trial from 670 @ Grandview Ave to riverside drive is very underutilized due in part being disconnected from residential or good access. Nice to see it finally getting integrated with the rest of the system.
Also, love the Goodale connector. Along with the apartments at Kimball Midwest site this will help this section of Goodale seem less like freeway feeder and more like a normal road.
ETA: Just read the part about finally fixing up the section along Drake Union (from John Herrick Dr to Drake Union connecting up with the new section). This is great, that has long been one of the worst sections of the entire trail.

Can't wait to see how this all shapes up. The Alum Creek nearing completion is huge. We'll soon have two major N-S trails of 15+ miles.
The Hilltop Connector and construction of the missing segment on the Scioto trail will offer an alternative to W. Broad for downtown commuters and tie the Hilltop into the citywide trail system, along with the State rail trail once Camp Chase is completed on the west end.
Exciting stuff.

That section of Goodale is not great to bike on as it is basically a low speed freeway coupled with an at grade rr crossing. Grandview Yard will be new pedicab territory once it starts being inhabited, and any improvements to cycling, walking to the W. Goodale Corridor are welcomed.
I would really love if W 1st Ave had a bridge to Grandview.....

Bike span over Scioto opens soon; link to Downtown still to come

A $2.1 million bikeway bridge connecting the Hilltop and the Scioto Trail is to be completed soon, but cyclists won’t be headed anywhere fast when they get to the other side.
The bridge, which took a year to complete, opens in conjunction with a road project that created bike lanes on Eureka Avenue and Harper Road on the Hilltop, connecting W. Broad Street to McKinley Avenue. The intent is eventually to connect the West Side to Downtown via the trail.

The Scioto Hilltop Connector Bike Bridge Opens to The Public

The Scioto Hilltop Connector Bridge officially opened up to the public with a ceremony earlier this afternoon. This new bike bridge is a part of the larger Bicentennial Bikeways Plan that is adding 540 miles of bike paths, bike lanes, shared lane markings and more.

@Lifeontwowheels: LOL that still is my name for this Trail/Bridge. Until it meets up with the existing trail going into Downtown.
I'm very comfortable riding in/with traffic; however the dump off onto Grandview ave as given is not for the new rider.
The other day I did ride into Grandview (FYI for those not wanting to conquer that Grandview hill. At the base of the hill you'll have a better trip by taking detour one or two streets either to the right or left... (The slope is not quite as fun as the grade is much less and easier to maneuver!

The "bridge to nowhere" is what dispatch readers currently call the Main st bridge, until the 70/71 project starts and it becomes known as the "bridge to 315"
