YouTubeWe have brewed a new Belgian Dark Strong Ale at Barley’s Brewing Co. Ale House #1. Abbey Normal is the first Belgian Abbey style beer at Barley’s and it is on tap now. This ale is much more drinkable than I ever would have guessed. The alcohol is deceptively cloaked-be careful!
Sadly, it won’t be one of the six beers at Brew and a View @ COSI tonight...

You are always welcome, Jerry! I’ve said it before, but North Market poultry & Game/Kitchen Little are the tops! I can’t wait to taste some (Flemish?) Bison Carbonnade... I’m putting some Abbey Normal in some Lamb Stew tomorrow,
Friday’s Firkin will be Abbey Normal-has anyone ever had a Cask Conditioned Belgian Style Ale before?

Nice new avatar, Porky-Rogaine? I wasn’t a fan of Belgian Style ales either, but after almost 20 years of brewing, I finally acquired a taste for some (still trying to “get" sour beers, but I’m not going to beat up my palate over them...)
