Why I have to explain myself to a faceless and nameless crowd is beyond me. However, since you have taken such an interest in my life, I will indulge you for the sake of having some retort. Have there been lawsuits? Yes. Sometimes I have been wrong and other times I have been right, but I had to make the decisions based on what we could do. Litigation is an unfortunate outcome in business sometimes. The only eviction filed was due to me personally signing for a friend (Evan Glassman) who ended up stiffing me while I was out of the country while my grandfather was dying. Keep The Crazy was an application that didn't make it to market on time and I decided to shut it down. Taxes are the result of an audit. Advance Heating is the responsibility of the landlord (if you have ever had a commercial lease you would probably know that) and it is being worked out with him.
I created the magazine over 10 years ago without the need to copy any existing business in Columbus, Ohio whereas my product has been copied in many iterations throughout the years.
I invested into downtown to create a place for people to enjoy that is unlike any other space in the city. It may not be what you like, which is fine, the city has many choices for you.
I have created 2 businesses in 2 fields with the highest failure rates in a 3rd tier market city during a recession and have stayed in business long past the average life span of industries in these fields. I provide jobs to young professionals in a city with a huge unemployment problem and flight of young people. I provide health insurance which is not required by Ohio law to my full-time employees and my core employees have been with me on average of 5 years. If you have any doubt as to how my employees enjoy their work , come into Fleur and ask them how they enjoy working there. Lastly, my business and I have donated thousands of dollars to Ohio charities in kind and in cash and continue to do so.
Unfortunately, this response won't matter since this thread is heavily weighted against me and my companies. In addition, I highly doubt I have interacted with any of you on a personal basis though you have unfairly forced me into an intimate conversation. I have invited you to email me directly without a guise and not one person has taken me up on it. Why I am of such interest to you is beyond me. You don't like the magazine, don't read it. You don't like Fleur, don't come. What the purpose of 19 pages of conjecture, hate/ racist laced messages and the need to explain myself to complete strangers that hide behind usernames is… I don't know.
