I got to write a formula today (just simple algebra, not a huge deal) to figure out something for a client. I used a skull pencil I received in a Halloween gift pack, and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. It was like high school algebra class all over again. Good memories....plus my teacher was hot. :wink:

I LOVE copy editing. To get out a red pen and mark away...nerd heaven. I don't it as much as I used to, though. I also like opening mail.

the nerdiest thing i've ever done, i went to all of the starwars openings at the very first showing by myself (except the last one) i wanted to dress up for the last one, but my ex wouldn't let me.
p.s. if anyone can find a gold bikini under $300 let me know. thanks.

Keep in mind I'm in Canton for the moment, so I'm actually talking Cleveland. However, the Great Lakes Theater Festival has a run of All's Well That Ends Well that they're in the middle of right now. Closing night is April 25. (They're also concurrently showing The Crucible, but that looked a little bit bleak when I'm just looking for weekend entertainment.)

Nerdy fact:
I remember reading an interview with Carrie Fisher years ago, and they discussed that costume: Apparently it was a gold metal bikini... which parts of her anatomy popped out of frequently.
Perhaps it's best that you never did find one :wink:

I went to the opening night of Episode 3 by myself! Went once during work to see The Hulk. Which was a break from my professional nerdiness of writing computer scripts all day.

all joking aside, i did search for them at one point. the only way i could get my ex to take me to the cosi starwars exhibit was to agree to wear the gold bikini. when i found out they were that expensive however, i just begged until i got my way.
and if you went to that exhibit it was awesome btw.

luke's hand was my favorite part.
i used to wake my brother up for school by doing darth vader/chewie noises.
i also made my sister and roommate have a lotr day in which we watched both 1&2 back to back. then i went by myself to see 3.
lotr marathons kick ass.
hmmm maybe i am a dork. and maybe i overshare.

I did a LotR extended edition marathon--yes, all three--to break in my new used TV in my student apartment in Charlottesville. Mad fun.
Not only that, but my OSU transcript does proclaim that I took Linguistics 294X.
That would be Languages of Lord of the Rings. 8)

Star Wars is my biggest geek-out. I go to the conventions. Went to the midnight screenings on opening day. I have a collection of the concept artwork and some really cool original art pieces. I even played the damn online RPG for a few years.
I'll never hear the end of this but here you go... Before I moved into my condo last year, I had a painting of Han Solo above my fireplace. :D
I love it all dearly!
