I read today that Finding Nemo surpassed The Lion King to become the highest grossing Disney animated film. I have to admit, Nemo was pretty good. And it looked really good too.
The Lion King had the record with a tally of US$312.9 million in ticket sales; taking more than six months. Since opening the weekend of May 30, Nemo has netted $313.1 million and is still swimming strong. Go see it!
The new #1.

? That's an incredibly good movie, maybe you have to like cars though. If you don't know anything about them, you'll miss more than half the jokes.

I'd say Cars 2 is the absolute worst Pixar movie. Much worse than Cars 1.
Despite the dumbification of any movie that co-stars Larry the Cable Guy, I thought Cars 1 had a nice underlying message that interstate highways have destroyed small american towns. ;)

We just watched Cars the other day and it's pretty good. Larry The Cable Guy probably knocks it down a couple of ticks, but the rest of the movie holds up pretty well. I haven't gotten the nerve to watch Cars 2 because it just feels like an abomination and I. Where does A Bug's Life rank in the Pixar hierarchy? That one doesn't seem to get much play the further away we get from it.

If you're not a fan of Mater/Larry the Cable Guy, you REALLY don't want to watch Cars 2.
A little bit of that character goes a long way.... they didn't really take that into account for the sequel.

It was. My son really wanted to see it, so we went to the theater for it. He got bored around the half way point and we ended up walking out.
If it's any indicator... Rotten Tomatoes has Cars 1 at 74% and Cars 2 at 38%. The two worst Pixar movies on there.
I'm hoping Monsters University isn't going to be a similar sequel mistake.
