We've almost reached the end of the year, and we're already looking at plans to keep New Cult Classics running through next summer at Studio 35. So we're once again opening up the floodgates for suggestions. Just two reminders:
1) We're looking for films from the past 10 years (1999-2009) that are being fast-tracked into cult status... which in a nutshell means that these films had a low box office performance, but high fandom and/or critical praise. Plus, we're looking for movies that are just plain fun to watch.
2) We've already shown (or are showing) the following films, so they're out of the lineup for 2010 - Idiocracy, Kung Pow, Fido, Wet Hot American Summer, Hedwig, Bubba Ho-Tep, Snakes on a Plane and Pootie Tang.
Anyway, the top 10 films most commonly suggested will go into a poll for voting, and we'll leave it to the public to vote on their favorites. The top 6 will run Jan-Jun 2010.
Anyone have any recommendations?
