There's usually a "real" version of these reality shows, followed by another network's fake one. Hoarders, Intervention, Pawn Stars, the repo show, all have fake counterparts now.

You obviously haven't checked out The History Channel lately. Tonight, you can see a double shot of Ancient Aliens, but there's other greats like Nostradamus 2012, Nostradamus Effect, Prophets of Doom, and UFO Hunters.
Pawn Stars is one of the more down to earth shows on the network now.

My Strange Addiction was not scripted...how do i know? I am on it (Jan 5th) I am horrified for the whole world to see the results of an abused child growing up to be an abused adult who refused to abuse others but carried the cycle of abuse in the form of self abuse. I was blessed by the show with counseling and by Dr.Demi Kazanis DDS. with almost 20,000.00 dollars in dental work and she probably saved my life. I put myself out there because i know there are others doing harmful and sometimes deadly things to themselves without understanding why...If it helps one person i will gladly suffer the shame of showing what i did.
