My breakfast

OK folks, I have been extolling the virtues of duck eggs for a long time now...so skip your NS burrito one day and eat this:
On plate, place 1 thin slice of sourdough, toasted
lay 1.5 oz extra sharp cheddar on slice o' toast
set 3 slices crisp-fried applewood smoked bacon atop that cheese
lovingly layer 1 duck egg fried OE in said bacon grease atop that bacon
break runny yolk
top with another slice of toasted sourdough
cut in half
eat like a slob, sopping all duck yolk with sandwich until sandwich finds its way into your belly
This is stupid stupid delicious.
Please report back once your assignment is complete.

I was just yapping yesterday about wanting duck eggs. Where did you get yours?
And also, could you please deliver one of those sandwiches to my office?
My breakfast right now is coffee and animal crackers...not nearly as exciting.

BTW (yes, Roland) staycation is incredible...and again it's beer time at Noon!
Today's destination: Press Grill for Stellas (must drink light...playing hockey tonight) yesterday's Wolavers @ Bodega made me a lil lightheaded, yo.

There is a stand at the Clintonville Farmer's market which has the most amazing duck eggs. it's kind of on the South end, by the chicken egg people, and they usually have some sort of sheepskin on display. They are the best duck eggs I've ever had. Seriously. Giant orange yolks which are so solid they don't run in the pan if broken, super rich, mmmm...drooling on keyboard, haven't eaten yet. But I'll be at Pearl Alley for Samosas in T minutes 54 minutes.

That sounds like a better plan than whole foods. I spaced out and got no eggs at all tonight, so I will grab those later this week for weekend duck egg breakfast mania!!!!
