yes, yes, and more yes.
wow, incredible cast. wasn't another thread reading that hollywood is dying?
Awesome - hope he's going back to being quirky AND funny (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Tanenbaums), instead of just quirky (Steve Zissou, Darjeeling).
Snarf - One Wes Anderson movie every 4 years isn't going to save Hollywood. :)
Hoping this is great. Looking forward to seeing it.

Film Review: Moonrise Kingdom
By: Nicholas Herum
Published on June 23, 2012

There is very little middle ground when it comes to the work of Wes Anderson; you either love his films or hate them but very few people ever say they feel indifferent about his work. For the last sixteen years Anderson entertained or infuriated audiences with his quirky brand of humor. All of Anderson’s films are cut from the same cloth but he weaves them all into uniquely different films and Moonrise Kingdom is no exception.

To quote Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather- "loved it"
Saw it last night and absolutely loved it. Wes Anderson is great at construction worlds for his characters to live in that feel both comfortable and nostalgic, but also somewhat dreamlike. I don't think a lot of his dialogue would work in other films, but it always feels right coming from his characters.
Great story, great acting. One of my favorites of 2012 so far.
I'm thinking about taking my 11 year old son to see this today. He likes quirky movies and gets more nuanced humor. Is there anything in there that I'm going to regret letting my kid see?
an over sexualized 12 year old girl
It is rated PG-13, which I'd say is accurate.
A very well put together movie, that made for an enjoyable afternoon. Nothing earthshattering or overly impressive.
