Anyone know of some reasonably priced monthly parking near the library? I just lost my space because they raised the prices to $10 per day. Ouch.

East Town Street has free parking if you get there early enough. I always laughed when I rode in because there were always people that drove to there and then get their bicycles off the rack and ride the last half mile.

Park your bike for free right at the rack in front of the library. It beats the hell out of driving around all frustrated trying to find a spot. I can't and won't put myself through that.

I was using the library garage and paying $4 per day or $80 a month. They do not offer monthly parking and in an effort to keep people from using it the way I was have raised prices to $10 per day.
Also, I would love to ride my bike but this is actually for employees that are coming from the far west side, so that is not an option.

ive never seen the library parking garage even half full. its like 5 stories underground. while it would get tedious driving down that far, i cant say it would become frustrating.

I suggest firing the employees for
1.) Needing too much accomodation
2.) Being Miserly
3.) Thier massive carbon-footprint
4.) Other
Franklin University has free bike parking too. That's pretty close. But if you were riding a bike, you could just lock to some post of pole right at Grant and Oak. Parking meters are also good to lock to.

The library parking garage is one of those weird old garages with tiny spaces and sharp turns everywhere. I think it is stressful driving in there!

No kidding. And how the cars pop out of the garage on to the street with no warning is kind of dangerous. They should tear that thing down and build a surface lot where that topiary weed lot is now.

Too bad, I think you still have to pay unemployment if you fire someone for "Thier massive carbon-footprint".
Any responsible citizens need a job downtown? It doesn't pay great and if you need any accomodations or don't live nearby we will fire you, but other than that it is a great job!

I've almost killed cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians coming out of that garage. No matter how slowly you creep out, you still can see anything until you are halfway out into the street.
