Has anyone eaten at one of these in Cincy? Well they plan on opening one here in Dublin sometime this year.

I have eaten there and it is legendary for the ribs and bbq sauce. In fact you can purchase the bbq at Kroger or Giant Eagle.

Eaten there a couple of times...never could quite figure out what all the fuss is about.

Never been, but a pretty strong Zagat rating for what it's worth.

Not impressed, especially considering all they hype. I thought the best part was the view, not the food, at the riverfront location in Cincy.

Fall-off-the-bone ribs in a tangy bbq sauce - I've not found their equal in Columbus.
I'm partial to their duck, too.
I'd venture out to Dublin to check it out.
(although, LaRosa's Pizza is the Cincy delicacy I miss the most :( )

I've worked for LaRosa's and miss the food terribly. I have several bottles of Montgomery Inn sauce in my kitchen, you never know when there will be a pig flesh emergency.

I make my own goetta, but I don't have all the ingredients to make LaRosa's.

Have been several times, never impressed. It is a Cincinnati thing. It is always crowded too. Heavy local support (similar following Cameron Mitchell has). Dublin is a good place for them. It would be cool if they did one downtown somewhere.
This one guy I used to wait on when I lived there during college, had a salad named after him at Montgomery Inn. He was trying to get us (at First Watch) to name something after him (ego maniac).

Thought the ribs were good, but not as unbelievable as cincy folks would have you believe - kinda like everything in Cincinnati. (gotta get my jabs in while i can). Anyway I guess its good that they are opening up here as I know lots of people who would probably check it out, although I thought half the attraction (to me at least) of the boat house location was being on the river.
Oh and I was dining at the university plaza hotel restaurant (on olentangy right by el vaquero) don't ask me how I ended up eating there, honestly I wouldn't have guessed they had a restaurant, but nonetheless if anyone is in desperate need of these ribs before they open up they gottem there of all places, listed in their own special place on the menu. Not sure if they are some kind of heat and eat item that gets shipped up (my guess) and I didn't have them, but there ya go.

For years I thought I didn't like pizza...later I realized it was just because my parents always got LaRosa's when I was growing up. I don't like tomatoes or tomato sauce, and LaRosa's puts a ton of sauce on their pizzas.
There's a place out on the west side that does a goetta pizza. I've always wanted to try that, but I doubt they deliver to Oakley, and that's a long drive to pick up a pizza!
