"reflexive retardation" = money.
Yeah - a coworker of mine was there and she found the whole incident "very upsetting" and left early. She didn't find the "political stuff" to be appropriate at all.
I'm like - a guy says "Heil Hitler" to a Jewish man, and it's not OK for the Jewish guy to be upset? Not to mention the fact that if you heckle a comedian, you need to be prepared to get what you get. Especially if you are a tool.
Yeah, if you're going to heckle a seasoned comedian, you better have some chops or wits about you. Sounds like this guy wasn't up to the task. Fair game on MIB to rip him to shreds, especially when you shout "Heil Hitler" to a jewish man. Dumb.

AKA - she doesn't like President Obama either. I was at MIB's show on Friday night and I'm sure he did the same political jokes. There was NOTHING inappropriate about it. It was all basically a riff on "If you don't like ______, then you don't love America". If your co-worker can't take that and doesn't understand or appreciate basic comedy and satire, then why was she at a comedy club?

Yup - you've nailed it.... She takes herself pretty damn seriously, so yeah. And I mentioned to her that I knew he had done some political stuff as part of other stand up work I was familiar with... and that lots of comedians do, it's pretty common.
Total sidenote: I was at a Lewis Black show where he eviscerated a guy who heckled him, just completely stripped him down to the point where he eventually left, under very similar circumstances. I was not sad.
Equating a black president with Hitler is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
