I guess it depends what kind of meditation you're looking for. If you're interested in a Buddhist-based group, google Buddhism Central Ohio for a list of local groups and meeting times.

I joined an "e-sangha", http://www.treeleaf.org/ , sometime back in November. While the concept of receiving Buddhist instruction online is a bit controversial to some, I have found the teachers and community at Treeleaf to be very helpful and grounded. I started meditating on my own following very basic instructions, and have grown into a very useful practice from there. It is helpful for me to think that "everything is meditating all the time", so I never feel alone when meditating. Also remember, there are always lots of people meditating at any given moment, all over the world! Since it is not "you" or "me" meditating, we are really not separated when we do it.
Something I like to think about meditation is that even though it may have very special effects, it is not special in and of itself. For me, meditation is just sitting. There is no way to intellectually discuss the effects of meditation effectively. The fruits of meditation, for me, come only with practice.
At first meditation was "just another chore", until I realized that for me, meditation is the one time of day I don't have to solve any problems. Just sit. It's a nice release.
And I also think about it this way-- I consider that there is no reason to do anything. Even to meditate! When I think about it like that, it is a big relief. Then I am not meditating "because" of this or that, but just because I am. I don't expect any result at all. This seems to produce the best result!
And every day is different. Sometimes it is hard to meditate, or I think I'm "doing it wrong", but that is just like an overcast day. It just is what it is. Sometimes it feels "easy" or "right", and like a sunny day. But any day, the weather is just the weather and it is what it is.
I know there are Buddhist groups in Columbus though, for some reason (I could be wrong) I think the lady who owns Pattycake Bakery might know of some.
Anyway, good luck with everything!
