They opened up yesterday. Had to honk at their valet standing in the middle of the alley talking on his cell phone oblivious that he is not in a parking lot.

I noticed the music and the people. It is possible that it was a test run. Will have to check it out sometime.

I had a late lunch there today. 26 beers on tap that switch out regularly according to our server. I had the pear-gorgonzola flatbread and it was pretty tasty. I liked the crisp crust and abundance of fresh greens on top.

Wow, this looks to be a great addition to the area.Kind of surprised to see they are allowed to open up in the former kingswood building. I recall reading that due to zoning and not having enough parking spaces no restaurants were going to be allowed. Perhaps they were able to reach an agreement with the church next door.
So what's the vibe of the Dublin location? What places are like it?
FYI, 1400 Grandview Ave was where Aveda salon was on the end by the church in the former kingswood building.
Yeah, and the neighborhood went out of their way to work with them... asking to just preserve the trees... anything they wanted with the building, just asking for an urban layout - being flexible on parking... but they pushed the limits on density so no patio (but other options... just preserve the trees)... NOW they are taking out the trees! Argh! Awful partners for the 5XNW neighborhood!

That is a shame. It also seems that sidewalk may not provide the best space for a patio, the small table and chairs in front of the yogurt shop already seems to cause a choke point with pedestrian traffic as the parking meters also eat up some space (saw an awkward scene with a person in a wheelchair). I assume they can make it work, but it will be tight.

Actually the church took out those trees. They were dead or dying. A couple of friends were helping to take them down on St. Patrick's day. Don't blame the restaurant or even the developers.

Don't blame the restaurant or even the developers.I don't know anything about this, but that just sounds odd. Why would St. Christopher's church take down trees in front of a building owned and maintained by the Wagenbrenners (one of the largest developers in the city)? Dahopper said in the Kingswood thread that the trees in front of Matt's were being removed for a patio.

Drove by there, at this moment the trees where a patio would go still seem to be there.

Sorry, my bad. the trees around the lot, on the side of the restaurant, were taken down on March 17th. I blame work and being hungover!
