I'm willing to bargain that it will be a worthwhile investment or your time. The writing in the show is pretty sharp, so it's pretty captivating. I can't say much more or I'll get pretty geeky.

I give Lew 4 episodes before she gets over it. It was a slow start. BUT the fashion, set design, hot dudes, etc. MIGHT be enough to keep you entertained while it gets ramped up :)

I can do it! If I'm even willing to attempt to like a tv show that says somethin!

I'm down for some lazy Sunday viewing parties. Sounds like a good addition to the potluck exchange program.

I'm pretty amazed at how cool (albeit awful) Pete Campbell has become. He's my favorite male character, too. My favorite quote from this little piece:
The Pete I love carries a gun around the office, purring to Peggy about the violent joys of hunting. “Then I’d take my big hunting knife and I’d cut this loin right out of the side,†he memorably tells her. [...] Kartheiser laughs. “How many of us even think these things? He actually believes he can pull his [most devious] notions off.†It’s the combination of delusion and certitude, of insecurity and grandiosity, that makes him an irresistible TV villain.

I'm a big Duck fan myself, really interesting character. I don't know that I would actually define Pete as a villain, btw. I feel pretty bad for him a good portion of the time.

What is the name of the secretary that got drunk and mowed dudes foot? I assume they fired her for that? But she's such a good character!

That's such a great part of the show.
After last week's episode, I keep trying to figure out if Duck is supposed to have sex appeal. Most of the guys and gals on the show seem to, in some degree at least (minus Cooper), but I wasn't sure about Duck.

I'm really starting to dislike almost everyone on this show, but still totally hooked.

They're all whoring whores and I too can't stop watching.
It also doesn't help that I have the hots for Mrs. Draper...she is to die for.

So many little inappropriate statements by the main characters last night, from Don saying "you people" to Sal or Betty saying that now wasn't the right time for Civil Rights to her maid.

Interesting episode last night. Don pretty much threw it most of it out there. Round and round we go!

Yeah, last night's episode was interesting. The scene of Betty confronting Don about the stuff she found was fascinating - especially from an acting standpoint - to see who had the power in that scene, and when.

yeah, power beyond just the actor's standpoint is what's interesting now. Betty's never had any, and taken on these flings and missteps to give herself the feeling of it...now she has it all. It was interesting to see Don as a sympathetic character again, even though all the while he had the school teacher in his car outside.

The last 15 minutes of last night's episode was some of the best television in ages. From Peggy saying "no" to the coffee request, to the British guy getting fired, all of it was fantastic.

Tonight 10 PM, season premiere! I missed Don.
