Don't know how I missed this, but I've been watching Deadwood...again...lately, and got to wondering what David Milch is up to now. Apparently his next show is again for HBO, this time called Luck. From Wiki: "Luck follows a number of characters who are frequenters of the same horse-racing track."
The part that blew me away though, it stars Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte.
This should be awesome.

I really liked John from Cincinnati, but it was mixed reviews. Deadwood was supposed to get a follow up movie instead of a 4th season, but it fell through :(
