JMG had this yesterday! I was fan of "Lucky Louie" and am thrilled to see he has a new show.
Not sure what you found offensive, though.
I've been avoiding it because I saw him talking about his divorce in his stand up and found him to be unpleasantly angry and bitter and not terribly funny, and I was a little concerned that an entire show about him being divorced would be like that.
I think the show is great. last night's episode was so so though. good music and like the way it's shot
Just heard him on NPR's Fresh Air... their site isn't updated yet, but I'd expect them to have it up shortly.
Been a fan of his for awhile, and was looking forward to this. Didn't see last nights yet, but the first 2 last week were pretty good. Pretty dark and bizarre though, not exactly what I was expecting.
Saw it for the first time last night. Thought it was really good. I hope Ricky Gervais is a regular on the show.

I should have written, "I'm not sure what you may have seen that one may find offensive, though"
Swearing offends some people.
Can we talk about this tv show now?
Louie was on Fresh Air today. Damn, I love this man. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=128343426
Just watched the shows on my DVR last night and thought the show was great. Thought the framework was very similar to Seinfeld, only a lot darker. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
Hmmm, this is inspiring me to give them another shot. I wasn't entertained at all by the first two episodes. Maybe I'm just not the right audience though.
I LOVE Louis CK! I thought the first episode of Louie was great, but the second (aside from the poker scene opening) fell flat. Haven't seen last night's yet, but I enjoyed the show enough to keep watching. Definitely not for those who don't like their humor (very) dark.
Does "dark" mean that he's still really angry about the divorce?
I love what he said about the divorce! like being in a time machine, only it takes the real amount of time to get there. his divorce pops up, but that's not really what the stories are about.

I agree that he does seem a little angry these days, yes. His stuff has always been fairly dark though. For example, that bit about your soul mate dying being the best case scenario has been in his stand-up for awhile.
I like Louis CK. The first 2 episodes were ok, with flashes of awesome. The 3rd episode sealed it for me. The doctors office portion was painfully funny. When the doctor explains how his dad’s death was less painful to see than Louis’ penis.
It is the same as his standup. If you cant relate to being frustrated with your aging self and the annoyances of daily life the show may not be for you.
It got picked up for 13 episodes.
Yeah, his humor has always been pretty bitter/dark/self deprecating. It's not for everyone. But I really like it.
