I can't find a thread on this but I wouldn't doubt if I missed it. Does anyone know what's going on with the lot next to sabos camping on Olentangy? They knocked down the building that once stood there, and have leveled the land off.

They should have knocked down the old Millennium night club (crack shack) building also and put it out of it's misery.

Yeah, those new apartments are off Kinnear. Sabos was on that tiny little stretch of Chambers south of the Lennox Town Center.

No idea what's going on there, but Sabos certainly isn't there anymore. ;)

I beleive it is going to be a 3 storefront commercial strip center development. I had seen it on the City development site, but don't see it there now.

A few years back, Sabos decided to liquidate their camping gear (tents, backpacks, kayaks, etc.) and rely completely on selling trailers and RVs. In this economy, that was a foolish move. It's a shame, because there's been one less place in town to buy outdoor gear.

Good, there's a dearth of strip malls in Columbus.

Yeah its going to be a retail property. I know that Verizon, a sub shop and something else I can't remember will be going in there.

It is one story but it is street level, so its def. better than what was there. We'll have to see how it turns out

I wish it was like a Hot Head Burritos, something local or some chain that's 20-30 minutes away like a Dunkin Donuts or Chicfila. There's already a Subway within 5 minutes of both directions of there.
