I started a new thread for a more specific Lost discussion as not to side track the other huge Lost forum. In last nights Season 4 premiere Hurley shouts he is part of the "Oceanic Six" leading us to believe only 6 people got off the island alive. We know 3 of them, place your bets on the other 3 now and when they finally reveal the who they are (probably 2 years from now...) we can revistit this thread and see who was right. Here's mine.
1)Jack
2)Kate
3)Hurley
4)Desmond - He wants to see Penny and she has the resources to get him off the island.
5)Sayid - Still looking for the torture girl (can't remember her name) so he has a reason to get off.
6)Claire - If the writers kill off a new mother and her baby they are some cruel SOB's!
Everyone else dies, Locke and Ben stay on the island forever.....

My list is pretty much the same, except I really can't figure out what would happen to Sawyer to keep him from getting off that island.
Edit... I guess my list is going to be
1. kate
2. jack
3. hurley
4. sawyer
5. desmond
6. sayid
Sorry Claire...I do like you, but I can't think of much of an interesting story line for her once she's off the island and sans Charlie.

I agree with Anne. He ain't ever leavin'. And neither is Ben. They would rather die than get off that island.

I agree with you and Anne on that one, but Core's theory has me intrigued...
1. Again, would make for really interesting story and drama and
2. Since when does this show do anything we predict :D
However, I'm still sticking with my previous list.

Ahh...but how much more "Lost" can you get than having the two guys who DON'T want to leave being taken off the island!
I think Ben was in the coffin, but Locke was the guy who hung himself in the newspaper article Jack was reading on the plane in the season finale.
so yes, they'd rather be dead than off the island ;)

I wonder if "The Six" is just a group that returns to the US? Because if Claire gets off the Island, I'd imagine she'd return to Australia. Same goes for anyone else not from the US like Desmond, Sun, Jin, Sayid.
Hrmm... I'm going to guess:
1. Jack
2. Kate
3. Hurley
those are a given
4. Sayid - He's proven himself to be a survivor.
5. Sun - She's pregnant. Can't leave her on the Island to die.
6. Jin - Would be nice to have the father of the unborn child survive.
Everyone else will either choose to stay behind, or get trapped behind, as it sounds like something went down that made some of the people intentionally get left behind as Hurley and Jack discussed if they were "going to tell" and Hurley was being questioned by a guy from Oceanic (or perhaps just being haunted in his head) if other people were still alive out there.

Well, Ben and Desmond were never on the flight, so it doesn't make sense for them to be part of the "Oceanic Six".
I am guessing:
1.) Jack
2.) Kate
3.) Hurley
4.) Claire
5.) Sawyer

I agree that Sun dies. I could see Jin surviving to care for the baby though.

I don't think she would be able to carry her baby to term if she dies...didn't Juliet say pregnant women die in the 6th month?
Since no other babies survived, they probably don't have the resources on the island to care for premies.

I agree... unless they lie. I don't know that being called the "Oceanic Six" automatically means you're from the U.S., though. But I do think that Locke and Ben are staying on that island.
My guess is:
1.) Jack
2.) Kate
3.) Hurley
4.) Michael (he's already off)
5.) Sawyer (I think that's who was in the coffin - a loner and no one would go to his funeral)
6.) Claire's baby, Aaron (Claire dies, baby lives)

I don't think Michael ever made it off the Island. It's been reported previously that Harrold Perrineau is back in the cast lineup for this season, and I think he's going to reappear on the Island and not just in flash-forwards.
I bet the freighter picked him and Walt up. That's my guess.

Yeah, she said something like "He'll wonder where I am" and I immediately thought Sawyer.
Where did you see a close up of the article? I tried to slow-mo it a gazzillion times and couldn't see who it was, but then my TV sucks.
Can we assume that more people make it back than 6, it's just that 6 are alive? I think Sawyer HAS to come back, dead or alive, or Kate would want to go back with Jack.
