My officemate is going out east to Lynds farm to go apple picking saturday and is looking for a good restaurant out in Gahanna, maybe creekside, or generally on the east side hinterlands. He wants to try some place he's never been to before.
I was about to recommend The Latin Rooster, but I see they have gone out of business since I was last dining in Gahanna.
Any ideas for him?

Mezzo in creekside. There is also a great mexican food place next to Lifestyle Fitness strip center-- Hamilton & Morse

The little Indian joint on Brice just South of Main is still the best Indian I've had in Columbus.

I haven't been very many places in Gahanna, but this is my friends' FAVORITE place, and I can tell you that the food is very good...if you like Mexican. It's family owned and operated. El Rayo. Mmmmmm now I want chips and salsa.

He says he's tried mezzo and thought it was Ok, but not a real stand out foodwise. The menu looks interesting, though, so I'm thinking I'll give it a go if I'm ever out there.

El Rayo is good, Rotelli's is decent. There's always Gahanna Grill, too.

I have heard that and it is next on my list of places to try. The east side is rife with good Asian joints, like Indochine, Bangkok and Pad Thai.

It's very good! Great pho with all the fixin's. They've even got pho with meatballs and tripe.
The family that runs the place is super friendly. I wouldn't go there if you're in a hurry though.
