I'm looking for a cabin/cottage to rent for a couple of nights in Hocking Hills--just for two people to sit by a fireside, relax, watch TV, and go for walks in the area. I saw this post on Columbus Underground recommending a small cabin to stay in, and I'd love to hear other recommendations. There are so many cabin rentals that pop in a google search that it's hard to sift through to find what the best places are. (Tripadvisor's not much better). Thanks for sharing your ideas!

I really like Lake Hope State Park. Really affordable, good hiking, fireplaces in most cabins, BUT just outside Hocking Hills. It's adjacent to Zaleski state forest, but Hocking Hills is really close.

I know the owners of these cabins, which were built about 6 years ago. Great location, not far from the major sites in the state park. I always love visiting there:

My wife and I really like the cabins at the inn at cedar falls. In fact, thats were I popped the question a few years ago. They also have small cottages and rooms in a inn as well although I've never stayed in those. The cabins are removed from the main grounds but are super close to all of the area attractions cedar falls, old mans cave, etc.. Breakfast is included every morning at their resteraunt which is a refurbished cabin from the 1800's and it is very good. Although we always bring our own food for dinners and lunches, I've heard their dinner menu is very good albeit a little pricey. The only drawback is that they do not have tv in their cabins although honestly we've rather enjoyed not having it and really haven't missed it at all when we've been there.

Thank you all so much! We stayed at the Inn at Cedar Falls in the past--in one of the rooms, not a cabin--the location and food were definitely great. We'll look into all these options for our next trip.
