Greetings people of Columbus,
so I'm looking for some advice or help on something.
Five years ago, my girlfriend moved to Circleville from Cleveland for her job. This February, she moved up to Columbus and moved in with me in Grandview. She still works in Chillicothe, which means every morning around 7:15, she leaves for the hour and change drive down. And every evening around 5:50, she gets back from it. It can be a little draining.
The thing is, she doesn't have a lot of friends of her own in Columbus. Really like one or two, and that's it. She's cool with hanging out with me and my friends. But she doesn't have many of her own.
What she's looking for is a place, group or thing she could go to every now and then, where she could meet some friends of her own and hang out. She's not a big scheduler person, and isn't looking for something with a lot of commitment - something like a group that meets every week, or one she has to attend every meeting of. She's not really into the church thing, which is where I meet a bunch of my friends. She doesn't do phone-bank calling volunteering, which is where I've met some of my other friends.
If there's anything you can recommend, it would be appreciated. She's smart, pretty liberal, and pretty cool. She'd just like someplace where she could make some friends around our age (33-34) to hang out with from time to time.
And yes, she knows I'm doing this.
thanks for your help,
me
