I’m part of a group that is dedicated to bringing life to Long Street in downtown Columbus. There's already some great things happening on Long Street, including two universities, the historic Lincoln Theater, and numerous unique and interesting shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the current design of the street itself is working against revitalization efforts. Long life proposes making Long Street a complete street.
Complete streets are designed and operated with all users in mind - pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities. Making Long Street into a complete street can breathe much needed life into this area and help to stimulate economic development.
