I'm entering my first order this week. Shopping list planned out and very excited about this. I'm not an early riser on the weekends and I just couldn't bite the bullet on the CSA thing. This is PERFECT!
I'm a little concerned about the milk sitting outside until I get home, but I'm gonna go for it and see what happens!
PS - if anyone is checking this from Local Yokel - any chance to get red, yellow, or orange bell peppers? Green and me don't get along :(

We have been getting delivery from nature's garden delivered for ~ a month and love the quality and convenience. http://orv.naturesgardendelivered.com/

Not into the Natures Garden thing, I don't want someone choosing my stuff for me.
Just got an update from Local Yokel...eggs should be included this week and lamb, chicken, and pork within the next few.
AWESOME.

That's neat too. Same issue for me with that site as the CSA's though. I want to pick out what I want, not get a grab bag of sorts. Good to know there's options for people though.
ETA: Way to jinx me, Core!!
Good news about the eggs and more meat, will make it easier to keep up with the $35 min with those additions. Awesome!

I just checked out this site and cannot wait to get started. We are leaving for a week so it'll have to wait until we return. For those already using it, how's the quality?

I just placed my first order and I am looking forward to getting it next week. With limited time to shop because of fluctuating work hours, I am excited at the prospect of coming home to good food once a week.

I should have done a better job of pulling stuff out, lol. There's red and white onions, cantaloupe, and cucumbers under all that delicious corn :)

Somer, how did your Snowville survive? On their website they encourage it to not be left out long at all.

I'm putting in an order soon too! I like the shopping discipline required so I don't go all farmer's market crazy and end up with way too much of everything.

Still finishing off the last bit of the half gallon I already have, but I'll know tomorrow. They put frozen water bottles in and put the eggs and milk in a reflective bag to keep everything cool.
Also, I got an email a day or so ago saying that there's now going to be 2 routes - south of 161 (probably the bulk of us) will be delivered by 7:30am and north was 2 - 6:30pm I think. So I'll have it back in my fridge before I leave for work. Yay!

Oooh. Hmmm...730 is gonna suck for me since I have to be out of the house no later than 7...that means it's going to sit for about 10 hours...yikes.
