I am really digging Mint Brook Meadow's "Russian Spiced Tea."

I don't normally like any flavorings in tea, but thought to give this a whirl when I saw it at WF. Very nice. I think the newness/freshness gives it an edge. Not smoked like I'd expect something labeled Russian tea to be, but I still enjoy it a lot. Local clover too. (They make a local mint tea but am too overloaded on mint tea to try a box.) Dalton Ohio is where they are located.

I thought it might be useful to have a unified thread on local products which warrant mention.

I'm hooked on both the Cinnamon Blonde at Sugardaddy's and the sugar cookies at Spinelli's. Trying not to overdose between the two.

Also just finally tried the Motherclucker at Knead yesterday and it was pretty impressive.

We also bought a bag of cornmeal at the Greener Grocer at the North Market awhile back that comes from Stutzman Farms (I think in Millersburg, Ohio) and it has been a wonderful addition to the bottom of the crusts when making homemade pizzas. :D

I've been meaning to ask if they're baking the cookies themselves or getting them from somewhere. I assume they're local because the individual sealed packaging they come in are *very* DIY looking. ;) Will report back when I find out. Thanks for giving me an excuse to go get another one today.

If we are not limiting this to food, I'd like to give a shout out to Rosati. They installed some windows for us last fall and my what a difference. Even with these bone chililng temps, I can tell the house is warmer and these windows are the only thing we really did different from last year to this one.

Food and drink seem to be the early themes of this thread. Wonder what that means? :-)

First shout-out:

I'll invade this thread for a shout-out for a local Akron product that I think gets unfairly overshadowed by its larger competitor from that larger city to the north of here: Thisty Dog beer. A much smaller operation than Great Lakes, but nevertheless available in Columbus; my sister lives near the Grandview carry-out at Grandview Ave. & 3rd Ave., and I often grab some there en route to her house when I'm back in Columbus.

Cerberus and 12 Dogs of Christmas are particular favorites of mine. My sister and girlfriend (somewhat stereotypically) are more fans of their raspberry ale, but I don't blame them--that stuff is good, too.
