PBJ Connections provides equine-assisted therapy to at-risk youth.
One of PBJc's board members is up for the Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award. This is a national award, and she is one of the top 4 finalists. If Brenda wins this award, she has designated PBJ Connections to receive $100,000 from The NASCAR Foundation. The winner of the award will be determined by who gets the most on-line votes.
The other three finalists are associated with national organizations and as such, have access to thousands of people they can call on to vote. PBJ Connections is small (and local!) and has not had much luck getting the metro-area press to pick this story up. You can help: please vote for Brenda daily through December 1st and to forward this note to all of your buddies and get them to vote too. $100,000 coming into our local economy will be a great thing. And the number of additional children that we can serve will warm everyone’s hearts.
Visit http://www.nascar.com/promos/bettyjanefrance/index.html and vote every day from now until December 1 for central Ohio's Brenda Doner for NASCARs Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award and tell all of your friends.
Note: unless you "opt-in" you won't get spammed by the site, so vote early, vote often (once every 24 hours).
