You: are a person who is a rising star, too broke to hire professional photographers, but want some photos on your website that don't look like this:

You know the type of photo I mean--grainy, dull, color as appetizing as dishwater.
I: am a person who needs example photos to touch up for a website I'm launching, preferably with a rock-and-roll, punk, or otherwise alternative flair, and I can make your photos look like this:

and I will do it for free.
Here's the deal: if you have a photo I like and want to work with, I'll touch it up free of charge. You get the photo for use in anything you want--you can put it on merchandise, your website, sell postcards of it, use it in promos, whatever. I get to use the photo on my website. I won't sell your image. I don't retain any rights to your likeness, just the rights to use the image that I touched up and the rights to display the original image in a before-and-after kind of situation.
When I display your image on my site, I will add a link to whatever page you're using for your internet presence. I would be greatly appreciative if you would do the same or credit me in some way if you decide to use the image(s).
The types of photos I would prefer to work with are the originals from the camera (not cropped, downsized significantly, although I can work with photos that have been scaled down if they're not too small--looking for photos at least 500px wide but prefer bigger), with fairly clear subjects (although if you have a really cool blurred pic, I may be able to work with that, as well). They can be photos of just about anything--concert photos, sitting-around-drinking photos, tuning-your-instruments photos, posing-with-your-friends photos, even portraits that look a little too "real" (like, your pores look like craters and you had a pimple that day, of all days). If you don't like the result, hey--it was free, right? If you don't like it, I won't put it on my site. (But you also can't use the touched-up photos on yours.)
If you would like to submit photos, please contact me at susanmichellerichards[at]gmail[dot!]com. Pick out a handful of photos and send them along; if there's any special look you always wanted for your photo, you can note it in the e-mail. If I see any that I want to work with, I'll get back to you.
